Here are five things you can do to look and feel more beautiful.


1. Get a new hairdo. Your hair is one of the first things that people will notice about you, and you shouldn't be afraid to try something new. Check out books and magazines for ideas, and think about what would look best with your face. You can use a good haircut to hide your least favorite features and to bring out your best features. When you first get your hair cut, though, be sure you splurge on a great hairstylist. Paying a professional who knows just how to deal with your hair will be totally worth it when you walk out of that salon!


2. Makeover your makeup. Sometimes you get stuck in a beauty rut when it comes to makeup. If you have a foundation you like, stick to it, but check out some new eye, lip, and cheek colors. Even if you like the natural look, you could brighten up your beiges or use richer brown accents to bring out your eye color.


3. Go on a shopping spree. Sometimes you end up buying clothes just because they're what you've always worn. Instead of settling in your wardrobe, though, you should buy a few high-quality pieces that really accentuate the best features of your body. Be sure that you can wear every piece you buy for at least two or three types of occasions, and then splurge a bit.


4. Work out. We're not saying you need to be model thin to be beautiful, but working out can help you feel better and tone up. Plus, maintaining a healthy weight is essential to your overall health, and it can boost your confidence.


5. Be more confident. Sometimes the most beautiful thing you can do is simply be confident. Whether you have to give yourself a pep talk in the mirror each morning or take more control of your job situation, giving yourself a boost in confidence will automatically give you a boost in beauty.
